Rewind to 2nd March 2009 – Rugby League team Warrington Wolves had lost their opening 3 Super League matches live on Sky Sports. Tagging on their results from the end of their 2008 campaign, the Wolves had notched up run of 8 Super League losses in succession - failing to win a competitive match since August 2008.
With high profile International players and big name signings from Australia, the gulf between expectations and performance could not have been broader.
