It isn't always easy
This is a video with me working my Border Collie - Chile. You'll see us practice three jumps, which are part of the Working Trials test.
Chile makes the jumps look easy. But, it isn't always that way.
Quite often my level of control, timing of my verbal commands and my non-verbal communication throw her out of stride. Poor communication from me, and too much control, cause her to hesitate. She can't quite decide if she should jump, or not jump. And, of course, that's compounded even more if we're in a strange situation using slightly different equipment.
All this brings me to how our behaviour impacts the people we want to influence. Ask yourself: How is my timing, non-verbal communication and control effecting my conversations with others?
